
Republic FC head Coach and winner of the 2024/2025 Liberia Football Association (LFA) Lower Womenโs League Coach, Sam D. Toe has presented a prestigious award to LFA 1st Vice President Sekou Konneh in recognition of his outstanding contributions to sports and personal mentorship.
Speaking during the award presentation held at Vice President Sekou Konneh office on June 27, 2025 at the University of Liberia Fendall Campus, Coach Toe expressed deep appreciation for Konnehโs support, both personally and within the broader LFA community.
โI want to use this moment to honor Vice President Sekou Konneh for his tireless efforts and support not only in my personal life but also for the development of football in Liberia,โ said Coach Toe.
Coach Toe also praised Konneh for his dedication at both the sporting and academic levels, noting his dual role as the University of Liberiaโs Dean of Student Affairs.
In response, Mr. Konneh graciously accepted the award, stating: โI receive this wholeheartedly on behalf of my family and the University of Liberia. Coach Toe has shown time and again that his passion and dedication to sports leadership are genuine and impactful.โ
He continued, โEven before your official appointment as Director of Sports, you were already making sacrifices and investing your time and energy. This award is well deserved.โ
Mr. Konneh also highlighted recent accomplishments, commending Coach Toe for leading the University of Liberia to victory in the National Universities Athletics Championship Grand Final, as well as securing the LFA Lower Womenโs League title.
โWe are proud of your achievements,โ Konneh concluded. โMay this be the first of many more awards to come.โ
