MONROVIA – The House of Representatives is reviewing several budgetary proposals submitted by Nimba County Electoral District 5 Representative, Hon. Kortor S. Kwagrue, seeking national budget support for key health and energy priorities in the district.

During Thursdayโ€™s 11th Day Sitting of the 3rd Quarter of the 2nd Session, plenary considered communications from Hon. Kwagrue requesting allocations in the Fiscal Year 2026 National Budget for:

* Ganta Rehabilitation Hospital

* Zoe-Geh Medical Center

* Electricity provision for communities in District #5, Nimba County

Hon. Kwagrue emphasized the urgent need for strengthened healthcare services and improved energy access for residents, noting that these investments would significantly enhance service delivery and community wellbeing. Following deliberations, plenary voted to forward the proposals to the Committee on Ways, Means, and Finance, especially as the national budget hearings are currently in progress. The committee will review the requests and incorporate its findings into ongoing budget discussions.
