NOCAL donates sanitation materials to State-owned enterprises to boost shortterm employments

PAYNESVILLE โ€” The National Oil Company of Liberia (NOCAL) has donated a substantial amount of sanitation tools to the state-owned enterprise (SOEs).

The donation aims to bolster short-term employment opportunities for young people in Liberia.

The donated tools include 250 wheelbarrows, 400 rain gear sets, and 400 shovels which will be distributed across various urban and township areas.

The project is spearheaded by the Paynesville City Corporation (PCC), in collaboration with the Monrovia City Corporation (MCC), Brewerville City Corporation (BCC), and all townships adjacent to Paynesville and Monrovia.

This initiative forms part of a broader collaborative effort involving key government agencies and institutions including the Liberia Petroleum Refining Corporation (LPRC), National Port Authority (NPA), Central Bank of Liberia (CBL), Liberia Telecommunications Authority (LTA), Liberia Electricity Corporation (LEC), and Liberia Maritime Authority (LMA).

Speaking at the brief handover ceremony recently, Ernestine S. Massey of NOCAL emphasized the companyโ€™s commitment to supporting community development and youth empowerment through sustainable projects.

For his part, Mayor Robert S. Bestman II expressed gratitude to NOCAL for the timely donation, which he believes will help improve sanitation conditions while providing immediate employment opportunities for young Liberians.
