MONROVIA – Grand Bassa County Representative Clarence T. Banks of Electoral District #2 expressed profound concerns regarding the mismanagement of development funds intended for his constituents.
Highlighting a series of unfulfilled projects under previous administrations, Banks voiced his frustration over the apparent corruption that continues to plague the local government.
Banks emphasized the need for a complete audit of all government-funded projects within his district, particularly focusing on the significant sums allocated to contractors.

The representative praised the efforts of the Acid Recovery Council and other local authorities for acknowledging his requests to investigate the financial discrepancies.
He specifically mentioned the troubling $69,600 in funds that were supposed to be utilized for community development but instead seemed to have vanished without proper accountability.
“This ongoing issue of financial mismanagement must be addressed, The citizens of District #2 deserve transparency and proper use of their tax dollars,” Banks stated passionately.
He affirmed his commitment to legal action if necessary, reinforcing that the rule of law must prevail to protect community interests.
