Professional Sports Academy Handball team

History was made as the Professional Sports Academy (PSA) Handball Team secured its first-ever victory in the ongoing 1st Division Handball League, marking a major milestone for the academy.

The Liberia Sports Academy continues to shine, with impressive performances across all categories, reflecting strength, discipline, and pride in every competition they enter.

In their debut match, the PSA female handball team delivered a stunning performance, defeating defending champions Sinkar Oilers by a commanding 25–15 margin. The victory was more than just a win—it was a statement of intent. Playing before a lively crowd at the Sports Commission on Broad Street in Monrovia, the young ladies displayed passion, confidence, and determination.

Sports enthusiasts have attributed the team’s strong showing to consistent training, dedication, and the unwavering support of the academy’s President, Ambassador Aliou Kebe, whose financial backing and constant motivation continue to inspire the players.

The celebration did not end there.

Earlier in the day at Invincible Park in Fish Market, the PSA Under-15 team dominated their opponents with an emphatic 11–1 victory, further highlighting the academy’s promising future.

At the heart of this success is Ambassador Aliou Kebe—the driving force and backbone of the academy. Beyond financial support, he invests his time, care, and personal presence. From early Saturday morning, January 17, 2026, at Invincible Park, through to the evening match on Broad Street, he stood with the players throughout the day.

To crown the historic win, Ambassador Kebe rewarded the handball team with a $100 cash incentive, a gesture similar to what he extended to the PSA football team currently competing in the 3rd Division League, where they sit atop their group with 7 points and 11 goals from just three matches.

Following the game, he ensured the players were fed and safely transported back to their homes—another reflection of his hands-on leadership.

The Liberia Youth and Sports Ambassador-at-Large has once again demonstrated that true leadership is defined by action, commitment, and consistency—not noise or empty words. Indeed, Ambassador Kebe’s vision is coming to life, and these young athletes stand as living proof of his dedication to sports development in Liberia.
