In a major move to strengthen school football across Liberia, the Liberia Football Association (LFA)—with support from CAF—has officially presented a cheque of $16,906 (over 3 million Liberian dollars) to the Inter-School Sports Association (ISSA).
The funding, approved by the LFA Executive Committee and provided through the CAF Impact Programme, will support the hosting of the national U-15 school football competition across all 15 counties.
The grant is specifically earmarked to support logistics, equipment, and administration for school football competitions nationwide.
This initiative aligns with CAF’s vision of creating a future in football for every boy and girl in Africa. Beyond competitions, the programme will also include additional support pillars designed to increase the social impact of football and build the capacity of schools through training programs.
The cheque presentation follows a recent development where the LFA donated 600 footballs to ISSA to further support grassroots development.
