The Monrovia City Court is where the trial of the five accused persons is taking place

The Monrovia City Court at the Temple of Justice has issued a writ of arrest for several individuals accused of armed robbery and related offenses in Montserrado County.

Stipendiary Magistrate L. Ben Barco signed the writ on February 10, 2026, directing Captain Charles Bloyuefloh of the Magisterial Police, or his deputy, to ensure the immediate arrest of the suspects.

Those named in the court order include Cyrus Dweh, Choice Tarr, Augustus alias “Idea,” Record, and several other individuals yet to be identified.

According to court documents, the charges stem from an alleged incident that reportedly occurred on the night of November 23, 2026, in the Barnesville Kebbah Community area.

The complainant and private prosecutor, Potee Kofa Jartoe of Monrovia, alleged in a police charge sheet that the defendants, armed with cutlasses, attacked him during nighttime hours. The suspects are accused of assaulting him and forcibly taking several personal belongings.

Items listed in the complaint as stolen include a Kenwood radio valued at US$1,800; a Silver Honor 7-A mobile phone valued at US$350; a Tecno Spark-6 mobile phone valued at US$175; a black spotlight valued at US$10; an Orange scratch card valued at US$10; a Lone Star scratch card valued at US$5; and cash amounting to approximately US$369.

The defendants are accused of violating Sections 15.32 (Armed Robbery), 14.10 (Criminal Conspiracy), and 15.51 (Theft of Property) of the New Penal Law of Liberia.

The court has ordered that once arrested, the accused be brought before the Monrovia City Court to answer to the charges in keeping with Liberian law.
