As the Liberia Football Association (LFA) prepares for its upcoming Congress on Sunday, Third Vice President Jodie Seton has reaffirmed her dedication to advancing women’s football and fostering inclusive leadership within the sport. Seton’s remarks came during a pivotal engagement between LFA stakeholders and the Executive Committee (EXCO) aimed at addressing key issues and shaping the future of football in Liberia.
Led by LFA President Mustapha Raji, the meeting provided updates on the association’s developmental initiatives and welcomed valuable recommendations from participants to further strengthen the sport across the country.
From her position, Seton emphasized that empowering women through football remains a central focus for the LFA leadership. “We will continue to push the agenda of women’s football because when you empower her, you inspire greatness. We believe every talent should be given a chance with equal opportunities,” Seton stated, stressing the need to create pathways for both female players and administrators to thrive.
Seton also commended the active participation of club presidents, secretaries, and the LFA Secretariat, describing the session as a productive and essential step toward sustainable progress.
As the Congress draws near, Seton expressed optimism about the continued collaboration between all stakeholders to build a stronger, more inclusive future for Liberian football, with a particular emphasis on the next generation of female footballers. The LFA leadership remains steadfast in its commitment to good governance, accountability, and the alignment of Liberia’s football vision with international standards set by FIFA and the Confederation of African Football.
