Raji hails Striker Ralph Weah's breakthrough

The President of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) has hailed the rapid rise of emerging star Ralph Weah, describing his development as a powerful testament to the value of grassroots football in Liberia.

Weah, a product of Tebah Football Academy, has steadily climbed the ranks and now features for FC Bea Mountain in the LFA First Division League. His impressive performances have earned him the nickname “Young King” among supporters of the local game, who see him as one of the country’s brightest prospects.

Speaking on Weah’s progress, the LFA President noted that the youngster’s journey reflects what can be achieved when young talents are properly nurtured and given the right platform to grow. He emphasized that grassroots academies remain the backbone of football development and must be prioritized if Liberia is to compete strongly at regional and international levels.

Using Weah as a case study, the LFA boss called on football stakeholders, corporate partners, and community leaders to increase investment in youth programs, training facilities, and structured competitions. According to him, sustained support at the grassroots level will not only produce more talents like Ralph Weah but also strengthen the overall standard of the national game.

As the “Young King” continues to shine in the First Division, many now see his rise as both inspiration and evidence that Liberia’s football future depends heavily on building from the ground up.
