Lofa County Health team

VOINJAMA, LOFA COUNTY — Lofa County Health Team has launched robust surveillance and community engagement efforts across Kolahun, Vahun, and Foya Districts in response to the growing threat of Mpox in neighboring Sierra Leone.

With numerous unofficial and official points of entry linking Sierra Leone to Lofa, the County Health Officer (CHO), Dr. Moses Weidehgar and his team have intensified preventive measures.

As part of these efforts, Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) materials, including hand-washing buckets, have been distributed to health facilities and border entry points to strengthen hygiene practices and minimize the risk of transmission.
