-Two Foreign Nationals Arrested
DUAZON, LIBERIA – Security authorities reportedly carried out a major anti-narcotics operation today in Duazon, a community along the Roberts International Airport (RIA) Highway on the outskirts of Monrovia.
According to preliminary reports, law enforcement officers discovered multiple bales of suspected cocaine stacked inside warehouses within a secured compound during the operation. Although authorities have not yet released the official quantity or weight of the seized narcotics, unconfirmed estimates place the street value of the suspected drugs at approximately US$500 million.
Sources at the scene further indicate that two foreign nationals—a Colombian and a Spanish citizen—were arrested during the operation. Authorities have not yet released their identities or disclosed the specific charges they may face.
Officials have also not confirmed the ownership of the compound or whether additional suspects are being sought as investigations continue.
