Meet Stephen S. Vorkpor, 13 years, Liberia's youngest to graduate high school 2024/2025 Academic Year

MONROVIA – Stephen Sator Vorkpor Jr., a 13-year-old student from Liberia, has been named the country’s youngest diploma candidate for the 2024/2025 academic year. He is set to graduate from the First Baptist Academy in Caldwell, New Georgia, on September 6, 2025. His educational journey began at the age of 2, when his parents enrolled him directly into the K-1 class due to his exceptional intellectual abilities, bypassing the typical ABC class. From that early age, he consistently outperformed his peers, completing each academic year as the top student (Dux).

Throughout his education, Stephen has received multiple accelerated promotions based on his academic excellence. He began his schooling at Destine Primary School before moving to Grand Gedeh County and attending St. Philomena Catholic High School, where despite initially repeating a class due to age concerns, he again finished top of his class.

His brilliance led to four significant promotions during his primary and junior high years three of which occurred mid-academic year after the first semester. Each time, he continued to prove himself by excelling in the next grade level, often outperforming older classmates.

Upon returning to Monrovia, Stephen continued his studies at Triumph Christian Academy and later transferred to First Baptist Academy for senior high school. He has maintained his Dux status throughout, leading to his current standing as a Grade 12 student and diploma candidate. With his upcoming graduation, Stephen is set to make history as Liberia’s youngest high school graduate. His family invites support and goodwill towards his ongoing academic journey, as he prepares to cross this major milestone. Courtesy DN News
