On the Advent of the Holy Period of Easter

My Esteemed Believers in Christ;
Fellow Citizens,
Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen:
On this sacred occasion of Easter, I bring you warm greetings and extend heartfelt wishes for peace, hope, and renewal to our Christian Brothers and Sisters and residents across our beloved country.
The message of Easter is summed up in one of the verses from the holy scripture, “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
Romans 6:4.
Easter is a time of reflection, a time of gratitude, and a time of great spiritual significance. It reminds us of the ultimate sacrifice made by Jesus Christ—His suffering, His death, and His glorious resurrection—for the sake of humanity. It is a story of love, of grace, and of hope reborn even after the darkest night.
As a nation, we have endured trials and challenges, yet we have also seen progress and moments of great strength. Let us draw inspiration from the message of Easter to renew our faith—not just in God, but in each other, in our shared future, and in the boundless potential of Liberia.
I call on all of us to embrace unity, to stand together as one people, with one purpose. Let us rise above division, put aside our differences, and work hand in hand to build a more just, more peaceful, and more prosperous Liberia.
Let this Easter be a reminder that we are stronger when we are united, and that no obstacle is insurmountable when we walk together with purpose, guided by love for our country and for one another.
May the blessings of Easter fill your homes with joy and your hearts with renewed hope.
