Montserrado County District 12 players celebrate their comeback

District #12 delivered a thrilling comeback performance to defeat District #4 with a resounding 5–1 win on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at the TUSA Field in the ongoing Montserrado County District League Tournament

Despite conceding an early goal in the first half, District #12 responded with confidence and attacking flairs, scoring five unanswered goals to seal all three points.

The goals came from Sekou Sheriff, Abraham Kawah, a brilliant brace from Lawrence Kumeh, and a late finish by J. Freeman completing a dominant display and sending a strong message to the rest of the tournament.

This impressive victory puts District #12 in a commanding position as the tournament continues. Meanwhile, District #4 will be left to regroup after a tough and humbling outing.

In related development, District #7 edged past District #10 in hard-fought 2–1 win. District #10 opened the scoring early from the penalty spot, but District #7 responded before halftime to make it 1–1 heading into the break.

The second half saw both teams battling intensely. The momentum shifted when a District #10 player was shown a red card, reducing them to 10 men.

Despite being a man down, District #10 held firm until a costly mistake from their goalkeeper.

While attempting to play the ball out from the back, he lost possession under pressure from a District #7 forward, who capitalized and slotted home the winner. The match ended 2–1 in favor of District #7, who secured a hard-earned victory in dramatic fashion.
