Senator Saah Joseph has setup the People's Action Party

MONROVIA – In a significant political shift, Senator Saah H. Joseph has announced his resignation from the Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) to establish the People’s Action Party (PAP), stirring excitement and debate throughout Liberia. With an impressive 375,392 votes secured in the recent Montserrado elections, Senator Joseph’s decision marks a pivotal moment in the country’s political landscape.

In a formal letter addressed to Atty. Jaga Kowo, Senator Joseph expressed his gratitude for the opportunities he received while serving with the CDC, a party that has been instrumental in Liberia’s political growth since its founding in 2005. However, he stated that his vision for the country’s future no longer aligns with that of the CDC.

“I have come to realize that my vision for Liberia’s future and my personal values are no longer aligned with the party’s direction,” Senator Joseph stated in his resignation letter. He acknowledged the dedication of the CDC’s leadership, members, and supporters and emphasized the importance of his experiences with the party.

As Joseph embarks on this new journey with the People’s Action Party, he calls for the citizens of Liberia to join him in a movement aimed at fostering change and improving the nation. The introduction of PAP has not only rekindled hope among many but has also sparked discussions about the future of political affiliations in Liberia, prompting a defensive yet proactive stance from existing parties.

“The mighty People’s Action Party has the whole country talking and ready for action,” he stated passionately. “Be a part of change. Join PAP today; let’s make Liberia better.” This move by Senator Joseph signals a new chapter in Liberia’s political discourse, as he positions PAP as a grassroots effort committed to promoting the interests of the people. His departure from the CDC and the formation of a new political entity showcases the dynamic nature of the country’s political framework and the potential for transformative leadership moving forward.
