Determine Girls were defeated in their second game

Determine Girls FC endured a disappointing campaign in the just-ended CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU Zone A Qualifiers in Senegal, failing to score a single goal throughout the tournament.

The Liberian champions opened their campaign with a goalless draw against Ram Kamara FC of Sierra Leone on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the Stade Abdoulaye Wade.

However, their fortunes quickly declined as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to USFA, followed by another 1-0 loss to Aigles de Medina.

Their final group match ended in a heavy 4-1 defeat to Berewuleng FC on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

In total, Determine Girls played four matches drawing one and losing three earning just a single point and finishing at the bottom of the WAFU Zone A standings.

This marked the fifth consecutive year of participation for Determine Girls in the regional qualifiers.

2021: Debut, finished third.

2022: Champions, securing qualification to the CAF Women’s Champions League group stage.

2023: Third place finish.

2024: Runners-up.

2025: Bottom of the table, without scoring a goal.

Missing key players such as Boutou Sylla and Jessica Quachie, the five-time Liberian league champions struggled to find their rhythm, leaving fans frustrated after what many believed to be one of the club’s strongest squads yet.

This is the first time in their history that Determine Girls FC have finished a WAFU Zone A campaign without registering a goal, a stark contrast to their past achievements and a major setback for the Liberian side.
