Liberian international midfielder Toni Achu has signed a one-year contract with Aigle Royale de La Menoua ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Achu makes the switch from Colombe Sportive du Sud, where he was part of the squad that claimed the club’s first-ever Cameroonian league title in 2024/25. Despite being hampered by injuries and featuring in just four league matches with a single start he earned praise for his professionalism, leadership, and influence both on and off the pitch.

Regarded as one of the most accomplished foreign players in Cameroon’s top flight, the 31-year-old has built a reputation for his vision, composure under pressure, and tactical awareness.

His arrival is expected to significantly strengthen Aigle Royale’s midfield as the club prepares for its first season back in MTN Elite One and its CAF Confederation Cup debut.

This move marks Achu’s10th spell at a Cameroonian club, reflecting his deep familiarity with the domestic game. Over the years, he has represented Njalla Quan, AS Matelot DAC 2000, Cosmos, PWD Bamenda, New Star Douala, YOSA, Fovu Baham, and most recently Colombe Sportive du Sud.

Aigle Royale, who earned promotion last season, have been active in the transfer market Achu becomes their sixth signing of the window as they gear up for a demanding campaign that will see them face FC San Pedro of Ivory Coast in the Confederation Cup preliminary round.
