Kendenja Community, MONROVIA – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) led a special operation in the Kendenja Community that led to the confiscation of a large quantity of the deadly drug, “Andrew Spike and Die” or “kush” on the evening of Wednesday, August 21, 2025.

The enforcement action also led to the seizure of 288,800 Liberian dollars.

The operation, which underscores the ongoing battle against drug trafficking and abuse in Liberia, led to the arrest of three females, who are currently being held at the LDEA headquarters in Sinkor as the investigation continues.

According to the LDEA officers, one of these parcel is sold for 100L$ (US$0.25 at current rate); and one parcel is so lethal that it can lead to death depending on the resistance of the consumer

The raid was conducted under the leadership of LDEA Chief of Manpower and Raid, Aaron Karzon, who emphasized the agency’s commitment to tackling the growing drug problem in the country.

“The issue of drugs is a national emergency that requires the involvement of all citizens at every level,” Karzon stated, calling for a united front in the fight against substance abuse and trafficking.
