Kendenja Community, MONROVIA – The Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) led a special operation in the Kendenja Community that led to the confiscation of a large quantity of the deadly drug, “Andrew Spike and Die” or “kush” on the evening of Wednesday, August 21, 2025.
The enforcement action also led to the seizure of 288,800 Liberian dollars.
The operation, which underscores the ongoing battle against drug trafficking and abuse in Liberia, led to the arrest of three females, who are currently being held at the LDEA headquarters in Sinkor as the investigation continues.
The raid was conducted under the leadership of LDEA Chief of Manpower and Raid, Aaron Karzon, who emphasized the agency’s commitment to tackling the growing drug problem in the country.
“The issue of drugs is a national emergency that requires the involvement of all citizens at every level,” Karzon stated, calling for a united front in the fight against substance abuse and trafficking.
The LDEA has reinforced its commitment to eradicating drugs from communities and has urged the public to report any suspicious activities related to drug trafficking.
As the agency continues its crackdown on illegal drugs, it hopes to foster a safer environment for all citizens. This operation highlights the urgent need for collective action within Liberia to address the drug crisis, which has increasingly affected communities across the nation.
