The inaugural edition of the Bettomax Champions Cup officially kicked off on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Tusa Field in Gardnersville Township with thrilling football action.

In the opening match, Heaven Eleven recorded a solid 2-0 victory over Blackman Warriors.

Striker Otoso Jackson gave Heaven Eleven an early lead with a powerful 7th-minute header. The side kept mounting pressure and, in the 63rd minute, forward Zee Alieu Bah doubled the score, easing the tension for his team.

Despite their efforts, Blackman Warriors struggled to break down Heaven Eleven’s defense, and the game ended 2-0 in favor of Heaven Eleven.

At the same venue, the second encounter saw FC Bea Mountain and Paynesville FC battle to a hard-fought 1-1 draw.

Bea Mountain started strongly, dominating possession and creating chances.

Their efforts paid off when striker Mohamed Kanu struck in the first half to give them a 1-0 lead heading into the break.

However, Paynesville FC came out firing in the second half, piling on pressure.

 Their persistence forced Bea Mountain into a costly mistake, as an own goal leveled the score at 1-1. Despite further attempts from both sides, neither could find a winner. The day’s matches were witnessed by a packed crowd, as fans and supporters turned out in numbers to cheer on their clubs in what promises to be an exciting tournament.
