
MONROVIA – The Executive Director of the Office for the Establishment of War and Economic Crimes Court for Liberia (OWECC-L), Dr. Cllr. Jallah A. Barbu, officially dedicated a newly constructed Office Pool on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
The facility is intended to accommodate both staff and interns, creating a more conducive environment for productivity and collaboration. This initiative is part of OWECC-L’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its operational capacity and improve working conditions for its team.
Speaking at the dedication ceremony, Dr. Barbu expressed his unwavering commitment to ensuring that the institution is equipped with the necessary tools and infrastructure to carry out its mandate effectively.
Members of the staff and interns in attendance praised Dr. Barbu’s leadership, describing it as visionary and results-driven.
According to several team members, the Executive Director’s ability to lead with integrity and foresight has been instrumental in moving the institution forward. With the leadership of Dr. Barbu, the institution continues to build momentum toward the establishment of a credible and effective War and Economic Crimes Court and the National Anti-Corruption Court in Liberia.
