
MONROVIA – The first five recipients of the Monrovia-Guizhou International Scholarship have arrived in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, and have officially commenced their academic programs.
This scholarship initiative is part of the Province-City Agreement signed between Mayor John-Charuk Saah Siafa of Monrovia and Governor Li Bingjun of Guizhou Province. Under the agreement, Guizhou Province has awarded 47 scholarships to residents of Monrovia, with 27 facilitated through the Monrovia City Corporation.

Among the first five students who arrived , two are pursuing master’s degrees with scholarships that fully cover tuition, accommodation, and a living allowance. The remaining three are undergraduate students whose scholarships include tuition and accommodation. All five are currently enrolled at Guizhou University. In the coming week, the remaining 22 students are scheduled to depart Monrovia to begin their studies at Guizhou Institute of Technology and Guizhou Normal University, respectively.
