Senior Female Professionalβs shot-stopper, Olive Wolo, has returned to the pitch this month after a one-season maternity break.
Wolo, who won the 2020/21 LFA Best Goalkeeper Award in the Upper Womenβs League and the Best Goalkeeper Award in the 2020/21 World Girls FC Maiden Preseason Tournament, has resumed training with her Senior Female Professional teammates at the Jacob Town Field.

She rose to prominence following her heroic performance in the 2020/21 preseason tournament, where she saved three consecutive penalties to secure a dramatic shootout victory over Earth Angels FC.
That victory propelled Senior Female Professional Football Club to the grand finale, where they fell 4-1 to World Girls FC in the World Girls FC Maiden Preseason Tournament, on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the Tusa Field Sports Pitch in Gardnersville.

The young goalkeeper played an instrumental role in her teamβs runner-up finish during that tournament and has since been widely regarded as one of Liberiaβs top female goalkeepers, admired for her quick reflexes and commanding presence between the posts.
βAfter one season away from football and having my baby boy, Olive, Iβm coming back to the pitch. I really missed the game the competition, the excitement, the celebrations. Iβm happy to be back.” ” I canβt wait to see all my fans around the world. Thank you to everyone for supporting me. Iβm excited to be in action again.β
