Lone Star U17 Female National Team wraps up intensive training ahead of tourney

The Liberia U-17 women’s national team sharpened their preparations on Tuesday morning as they continue the countdown to their WAFU Zone A Championship opener against Sierra Leone on Friday, September 19.

The young Lone Star worked through a high-energy session focused on quick ball movement, finishing drills, and tactical shape.

 Head coach and technical staff stressed composure in the final third and defensive discipline key areas as Liberia aims for a strong start in front of home supporters.

Team captain and several  senior youth players encouraged their teammates to “stay hungry and united,” reflecting the camp’s upbeat mood. Fitness levels remain a priority.

Liberia is hosting the regional U-17 girls’ tournament, a showcase of emerging talent from across West Africa.

Fans are urged to turn out in numbers at kickoff to cheer the team.
