MONROVIA – Final preparations for the maiden West African Football Union Zone A (WAFU A) U17 Girls’ Tournament moved into high gear on Tuesday as the organizing committee carried out mandatory administrative checks with all participating teams.

During the visits, officials verified squad documentation and ensured each delegation met tournament requirements. A team of referee assessors also met with the young players to brief them on the latest amendments to the Laws of the Game, reinforcing fair play and player safety.

The checks clear the way for Wednesday’s highly anticipated kickoff, which will showcase some of the brightest emerging talent in West African women’s football.

Tournament organizers expressed confidence that the event will highlight the region’s commitment to youth development and the growth of the women’s game.
