Monrovia – The Office for the Establishment of War and Economic Crimes Courts for Liberia (OWECC-L) will begin outreach activities in Montserrado County on October 7, 2025, as part of its nationwide awareness campaign.

The Montserrado rollout follows similar initiatives in Nimba, Grand Gedeh, River Gee, Grand Kru, Maryland, Grand Bassa, and Margibi Counties, where local residents and authorities pledged support for the establishment of the War and Economic Crimes Court and the Anti-Corruption Court.

The outreach includes town hall meetings, radio talk shows, community dialogues, and interactive sessions, aimed at educating citizens on the courts’ role in promoting peace, integrity, and accountability.

OWECC-L emphasizes that the campaign provides a platform for citizens to voice recommendations, ensuring that the courts are responsive to public needs.

The Office remains committed to a transparent, inclusive, and participatory process, strengthening Liberia’s justice system and fostering a culture of accountability nationwide.
