
MONROVIA — The LEAD Monrovia Football Academy (LEAD MFA) has celebrated its 2nd graduating class, honoring eight outstanding young leaders who have exemplified the academy’s motto: “Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve.”

The ceremony brought together students, parents, staff, and special guests, including Hon. Francis S. Dopoh, Senator of River Gee County, who served as Guest Speaker, Senator Dopoh commended the academy for its dedication to nurturing scholar-athletes who combine academic excellence with character, discipline, and leadership.
LEAD MFA announced that eight students graduated this year, among them valedictorian Paul Sandi, who recently began his studies at the African Leadership Academy in South Africa. Other graduates are continuing their education at Stella Maris Polytechnic University and the African Methodist Episcopal University in Liberia.

As part of tradition, each graduating class creates a motto that reflects their shared journey. This year’s class chose “Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve,” a message that embodies their belief that true leadership begins with a spirit of learning and service.
Founded to develop Liberia’s next generation of scholar-athletes and leaders, LEAD Monrovia Football Academy combines strong academics, football training, and leadership development. The academy currently enrolls 112 students, who each receive 25 hours of academic instruction and 8 hours of football training weekly.

LEAD MFA continues to expand its impact, with graduates pursuing higher education and exchange opportunities in Liberia, South Africa, and the United States. Notably, 46% of its student-athletes are girls, underscoring the academy’s firm commitment to gender equity and inclusion. Through its holistic model, LEAD Monrovia Football Academy is shaping well-rounded young Liberians equipped not only to excel on the pitch but to lead and serve their communities with integrity.
