
PLEEBO, MARYLAND COUNTY – In efforts to ease the travel of burden between the Port city of Harper and the commercial city of Pleebo in Maryland County, the National Transit Authority (NTA), known as the national carrier, has reopened the all-important route linking the two cities in the county.
In a statement issued by Mr. Abayomi Tarplah Santi Jr. Assistant Corporate Affairs Manager for Communication & Marketing at the National Transit Authority (NTA), the official reopening of the Harper to Pleebo bus route takes effect beginning Monday November 3, 2025.
“This long-awaited return will provide a vital connection for passengers between Happer and Pleebo, enhancing mobility for residents and visitors alike,” the NTA’s statement says.
According to the Route Details and Schedule released by the NTA, the bus will operate daily from Monday to Friday, with a fare of 100 LD per passenger.
The detailed schedule for passengers’ convenience points out that boarding time in Harper is 6am while pick-up time is 6:30 am and the bus will make key stops along the route, including Harper (18), Catholic Garage, J.J Dosen Hospital, City Hall,
Airfield Junction Market, White Street, TU Bus Stop, Grant Public School, Bartiqu opposite LEC Office and Pleebo City Hall – Last stop and turning point. This is also the primary pick-up point for passengers headed back to Harper.
The NTA statement also notes that for the convenience of passengers, each stop also serves as a pick-up point both for the journey to Pleebo and for the return trip to Harper.
The NTA emphasizes the importance of adhering to transit protocols to ensure the safety of all passengers. “We encourage travelers to cooperate with the bus crew and follow all necessary guidelines for a smooth and secured trip.”
