The Liberia Football Association (LFA) on Friday, 21 November, kicked off a two-day capacity-building workshop for beginner female Match Commissioners in Montserrado County, marking another significant step in expanding women’s roles within Liberian football.
The training, funded by FIFA, aims to open broader opportunities for women by strengthening their understanding of the responsibilities of a Match Commissioner. The initiative also focuses on improving the management, organization, and overall professionalism of women’s football across the country.
LFA President Mustapha Raji lauded the participants for their commitment and emphasized the importance of the program in supporting the LFA’s women’s football strategic plan. He noted that the workshop is part of ongoing efforts to increase female participation in key football positions and foster long-term growth in the women’s game.
President Raji also extended gratitude to FIFA for its continued support toward the development of women’s football in Liberia, stressing that such partnerships are vital for sustainable progress.
