The Grand Cape Mount County Kickball Team has suspended all training and kickball-related activities ahead of its crucial semi-final encounter, citing a lack of logistical and financial support.
The decision was announced late Monday evening by Head Coach Alphanso Kikeh, who said the suspension is guided by the principles of ownership and sponsorship, stressing that “it is time for business.”
According to Coach Kikeh, the move poses a serious threat to the team’s preparations, coming barely 26 hours before their decisive semi-final clash against long-time rivals Nimba County. He blamed the county’s leadership for failing to address key logistical and financial requirements needed for effective preparation, adding that training will only resume once the “right and needful things” are done.
