The President of the All African Games (AAG), Mr. Swahilu K. Jusu, has assured the leadership of the Liberia Kickball Federation that kickball will be included in this year’s All African Games tournament.
Mr. Jusu made the announcement on February 5, 2026, during the official inauguration of kickball in Sierra Leone. He spoke in his dual capacity as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports and President of the All African Games.
He said he was highly impressed by the quality and beauty of the game, noting that kickball has strong potential to positively transform the lives of young women and girls through sports development and social cohesion.
Based on these observations, Mr. Jusu announced that kickball will be introduced at the All African level beginning this year.
The AAG President further called on the leadership of the Liberia Kickball Federation to take a leading role in teaching, promoting, and expanding the sport across the Mano River region and throughout Africa. He added that with the introduction of kickball at the All African Games in Liberia and Sierra Leone, both countries will remain the face of the sport—an initiative he said will significantly contribute to the promotion and development of kickball across the African continent.
