-Gospel Star Marron Dwah Cassell Returns Home for Grand Worship Concert
After years in the United States, award-winning gospel artist Ambassador Marron Dwah Cassell is set to return home and lead Liberia in worship at a major concert on November 29, 2025, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe (SKD) Sports Complex in Paynesville.
The event, titled “Arise Liberia,” promises to unite some of the nation’s finest entertainers in an evening of praise, spiritual renewal, and celebration of Liberian identity.
Ambassador Cassell, who has long represented Liberia’s gospel voice abroad, has spent her years in the U.S. ministering through music and cultural outreach.
Her homecoming marks a renewed chapter in her ministry and artistic journey. Over the years, she has become one of Liberia’s most enduring and influential gospel figures.
Her landmark 2012 release, Best of Marron Cassell Gospel, featured 32 songs spanning over three hours, while her patriotic gospel single “All Hail Liberia” further strengthened her reputation as a voice of faith and national pride. One of her earlier songs, featuring the refrain “Liberiaaaa, sweet land of liberty… you will rise, you will shine…”, became an anthem of hope during the country’s post-war recovery — a song many describe as both prophetic and deeply moving.
Cassell’s impact has also been recognised internationally. In 2022, she was honoured in Philadelphia, USA, as one of the most influential figures in the Liberian diaspora for her cultural and spiritual contributions.
