MONROVIA – In a vibrant display of support, at-risk young men and women known as “zogos” gathered in the streets of Monrovia on Tuesday to express their appreciation for President Joseph Boakai, proclaiming him the best president in Liberia’s history.
The spontaneous rally highlighted the significant impact Boakai’s administration has made on the lives of young people and the nation at large.
Chanting slogans and waving placards, the zogos credited President Boakai with several transformative initiatives, emphasizing his commitment to infrastructure development, corruption eradication, and consistent civil service payments.

“Papa Boakai is paving roads, fighting corruption, putting up street lights, and maintaining electricity.
“This Papa is the best President since Liberia was founded,” one enthusiastic young supporter declared.
The show of support comes at a time when the government’s efforts to bolster public services and improve living conditions are under close scrutiny.
Many of the zokos highlighted the recent infrastructure projects in their neighborhoods, noting how improved roads and street lighting have enhanced safety and accessibility. “We can now walk home without fear at night,” said a teenager named Amara, representing the voices of many gathered.
In his response to the rally, President Boakai emphasized the importance of including young people in the nation’s future. “Our youth are the backbone of this country, and their voices matter.
“We are committed to creating more opportunities for them and ensuring they can thrive in a better Liberia,” he stated during a press conference following the rally”.

The administration’s initiatives have reportedly resulted in timely salaries for civil servants and improved electricity supply, which have garnered praise from various sectors.
However, critics remain vigilant, urging the government to maintain its momentum and address ongoing challenges such as unemployment and education access.
As Liberia prepares for a future shaped by a new generation of leaders, the zokos’ enthusiastic show of support for President Boakai reflects a hopeful sentiment among the youth that their voices can lead to lasting change.
The dedication of this administration to uplift the nation’s children and adolescents has left an indelible mark on the hearts of many, making the zogos’ praise an echo of gratitude for the opportunities they believe are being created.
As the rally concluded, participants left with renewed energy and a shared commitment to support President Boakai’s vision for a transformative Liberia.
