MONROVIA, Liberia – Prominent businessman and lawyer Cllr. George B. Kailondo has vehemently denied allegations linking him to drug trafficking.
In an exclusive interview at the Temple of Justice, Kailondo addressed claims surrounding a truck owned by his company, which was discovered in Grand Cape Mount County containing a substantial shipment of Tramadol.

“I will never sell drugs. I spent a lot of time in the United States, and I didn’t associate myself with such activities. I can never sell drugs in Liberia, where I own a multi-million-dollar business,” Kailondo said.
He expressed confidence that negative publicity will not deter him and announced that the Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) will hold a press conference on Wednesday to clarify his position.
Kailondo emphasized that he was unaware of how the truck arrived in Grand Cape Mount County, stating, “I have no knowledge regarding drugs in my truck.” The LDEA continues its investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
