Era Rural LLC and its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Robert Abou Jaoude

MONROVIA – The Commercial Court of Liberia, under the gavel of Chief Judge Eva Mappy Morgan, has issued a Writ of Execution in favor of Sapelle International Bank (Liberia) Limited against Era Rural LLC and its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Robert Abou Jaoude, to recover an outstanding debt of US$1,230,893.96.

The writ, dated September 11, 2025, authorizes the Acting Sheriff of the Commercial Court, Emmanuel Morris, and his deputies to seize and expose for sale all land, goods, and personal property owned by the defendants. Should these assets prove insufficient to cover the debt, the Sheriff is further empowered to seize real properties belonging to Era Rural LLC and its CEO.

In a strong directive, the writ also calls for the arrest and physical appearance of Mr. Abou Jaoude and any other corporate officers operating under Era Rural LLC’s authority, ordering that they be brought before the Chief Judge for further legal proceedings in accordance with Liberian law.

The action stems from a final judgment rendered by the court on April 7, 2025, following a commercial debt dispute initiated by the Plaintiff, Sapelle International Bank, represented in court by its General Manager, Mr. Patrick Ebo Kittoe.

The Writ of Execution allows for the full collection of the judgment amount, along with associated court costs, which are to be deducted from any proceeds raised during asset seizures or sales.

The document was officially signed and sealed by the Clerk of the Commercial Court, Amos F. Gbowah, with the full approval of Chief Judge Eva Mappy Morgan.

Legal analysts say the court’s move highlights a firm stance on debt enforcement and reinforces the importance of judicial authority in commercial transactions within the Republic of Liberia.
