Lonestar Cell MTN Offices were gutted by fire on Sunday morning

MONROVIA, Liberia — Lonestar Cell MTN has confirmed that a fire incident occurred early Sunday morning at its headquarters in Congo Town, prompting a rapid emergency response from staff, security personnel, and the Liberia National Fire Service.

In an official statement released hours after the incident, the telecommunications giant said no injuries were reported and no operational equipment or network infrastructure was affected, thanks to what it described as a “swift and coordinated” containment effort.

“We are deeply relieved to confirm that no injuries were sustained,” the company said.
“Thanks to the professionalism and courage of our staff, security personnel, and the fire service, the fire was quickly contained and did not reach our main buildings.”

Quick Response Credited With Preventing Major Damage

According to Lonestar Cell MTN, firefighters and police officers responded promptly, stopping the blaze before it could spread. The company praised the emergency teams for their effectiveness under pressure.

“Their commitment in moments of crisis is truly commendable,” the statement added.

Authorities have since launched an investigation into the cause of the fire. The company says it is cooperating fully with the process.

Lonestar Cell MTN also extended gratitude to its employees, many of whom reportedly rushed to the scene despite being off-duty or attending Sunday church services.

The telecom firm emphasized that all services—including mobile voice, data, and Mobile Money—were unaffected by the incident.
