MONROVIA – The Liberia National Fire Service’s (LNFS) Deputy Director of Administration, Colonel Emmanuel Farr has reassured the public of the organization’s ongoing commitment to preserving lives and property throughout the nation. Col. Farr and senior Fire Service personnel spoke about the agency’s challenges and continuous efforts to enhance emergency response across the country on the Thursday’s episode of the OK FM Morning Rush Show.

The Deputy Director listed the main problems impeding the agency’s ability to operate, such as a lack of community coordination during fire outbreaks, a shortage of fire trucks, and logistical limitations.
He urged private organizations, foreign donors, and government partners to provide the LNFS with equipment, training, and mobility. Col. Farr insisted that the Fire Service is vigilant and working to raise public awareness through safety education initiatives in different communities in spite of these constraints.
