
The former Lone Star and Invincible Eleven (IE), midfielder is seriously ill and is in fact under critical condition according to former player Jonathan Armah Baxter.
In a chat with the former striker, Baxter intoned that Marshall is critically ill and on Tuesday of this week while undergoing treatment at the Rainbow Clinic in Old Mataldi, he kept pulling out the blood given him by nurses; five pints/bags of blood were given him, but each time he went to the bath room, he pulled out the blood which indicates that his condition is serious.
Noted Baxter: “Gbelley is not fine, not doing well at all and the blood nurses tried giving him through the normal means could not stay in him as his condition worsens.”
The former Bame, St. Joseph Warriors and NPA Anchors finisher, Baxter, further indicated that former defender of the Lone Star and I.E; Emmett Trinity, alias Polo, and his team or friends there in the United States have been doing very well in helping Gbeley undergo treatment just as they did for former defender Nelson Sonpon and others, and is calling on football stakeholders to get involved in helping the ailing former midfielder.
At the same time, Baxter lamented that “the football community is bleeding due to the death of former player and journalist, Seibo Daniels and the hardworking medic — “IE Sumo”
