
The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has lauded Coach Famatta Dean for making history as the first woman to lead a male football team in the National County Sports Meet—Liberia’s premier multisport competition.
Coach Dean, who currently heads Montserrado County’s football team, showcased exceptional tactical intelligence as she guided her squad to a 1–0 victory over Grand Bassa County in a special exhibition match at the SKD Sports Complex.

A certified FIFA Instructor, Coach Dean stands among Liberia’s most highly respected technicians. She also commands the touchline on the international stage as Head Coach of the country’s U-20 national team, where she continues to shape young talent and prepare the next generation of national stars.
