Grand Bassa Sport pitch

Grand Bassa County football team head coach Mouctarr Fofana has emphasized the importance of discipline as preparations commence for this year’s National County Sports Meet.

Speaking at the refurbished Doris Williams Sports Pitch in Buchanan, Coach Fofana addressed the 34 players recently recruited from the just-concluded District League tournament.

He urged them to uphold a high standard of discipline and respect towards his coaching staff if they hope to secure a permanent place on the county team.

Any player who exhibits indiscipline will not be part of my plans,  Coach Fofana warned.

He also reminded the players to be punctual, stressing that time management is one of his key priorities in evaluating players for the final squad.

The 34 athletes were selected by the Grand Bassa Sports Association (BSA) technical team based on their performance during the district tournament.

These players impressed the coaching staff with their skill, commitment, and potential.

Today marks the beginning of their preparatory training sessions, which are being held at the Liberia Football Association (LFA) examination hall adjacent to the Doris Williams pitch.

As the team moves into this crucial phase, all eyes will be on how the new recruits adapt to Coach Fofana’s standards and expectations.
