LFA Youth and Technical Development Committee member, Mrs. Roseline Konneh, has successfully attended her first FIFA Committees Plenary Session, held on December 16 in Doha, Qatar, marking another milestone for Liberian football on the global stage.

The high-level meeting focused on defining strategic goals, agreeing on work procedures, and addressing key organizational matters aimed at strengthening football governance worldwide. Central to the discussions were recommendations on the growth and development of women’s football, as well as the implementation and advancement of FIFA Women’s Football projects and programmes across different regions.

The plenary session brought together more than 500 committee members representing 211 countries, underscoring FIFA’s global commitment to inclusive football development and gender equity in the sport.

Mrs. Konneh’s participation follows her appointment as a Member of the FIFA Women’s Football Development Standing Committee for the 2025–2029 cycle.

She was officially appointed on October 2 during the FIFA Council meeting held in Zurich, Switzerland. Her inclusion on the prestigious committee is widely seen as a significant boost for women’s football development in Liberia and the West African region, providing the country with a direct voice in shaping global policies and programmes aimed at advancing the women’s game.
