Liberia Land Authority Samuel F. Kpakio on one of his tours

MONROVIA โ€“ The Liberia Land Authority (LLA), under the leadership of Chairman Samuel F. Kpakio, will commence a six-county tour on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, to strengthen land governance and administration across Liberia.

Accompanied by a technical team, the Chairman will visit Nimba, Grand Gedeh, River Gee, Maryland, Grand Kru, and Sinoe Counties to engage stakeholders, foster collaboration, and assess key challenges in land governance.

The tour will involve meetings with County Superintendents, District Commissioners, City Mayors, Circuit Court officials, Customary communitiesโ€™ leaders, and LLA County office staff, aimed at improving inter-agency coordination, ensuring policy compliance, and providing technical guidance on dispute resolution to enhance land administration efficiency.

The tour will also include assessments of LLA County offices, updates on the status of public and government land, and the distribution of educational materials and policy documents to enhance public awareness on land rights and governance.

A rapid assessment meeting with stakeholders in Grand Gedeh County will address concerns regarding the occupation of customary land by โ€œBurkinabe nationals,โ€ an issue that has heightened community tensions and threatened land tenure security.

The LLA encourages the public to follow updates through its official website, Facebook page, ELBC, and other national media platforms for updates.

The LLA reaffirms its commitment as a ONE-STOP-SHOP for all land transactions.
