Liberia Football Association (LFA) Safeguarding Training Workshop

MONROVIA- The Liberia Football Association (LFA) has successfully completed a one-day Safeguarding Training Workshop aimed at enhancing the capacity of football administrators in creating a safe and inclusive environment for everyone involved in the game.

The day-long training program, facilitated by the Safeguarding Department of the LFA, was conducted on Tuesday, 10 June, at the LFA headquarters.

Participants engaged in essential discussions and practical sessions focused on strengthening their knowledge of safeguarding policies, how to identify and report concerns, recognizing and responding to signs of abuse and creating safe spaces for children and vulnerable adults.

At the close of the event, LFA President Mustapha I. Raji, congratulated the participants for dedicating their time to gain knowledge on safeguarding, which is important in football.

“Safeguarding is a growing process and we at the LFA believe that it is important that we take into consideration all aspects of football based on promises that we made, “football for all.” This is to ensure safety, promote participation, and develop the game of football,”  President Raji said.

Raji also praised the facilitors, Jeffrey O. Cholopleh and Kebeh G. Lamine impacting knowledge to others.

The workshop aligns with the LFA’s football development pillar, which emphasizes the importance of capacity building.
