World Girls hold SR. PRO; Determine Girls frustrated by resilient Shaita Angels
The 2025/26 Liberia Football Association (LFA) Upper Women’s League kicked off in thrilling fashion on October 17, 2025, at the Tusa Field Sports Pitch, as fans witnessed two intense encounters full of passion and promise.
In the opening match, SR. PRO FC and World Girls FC settled for a 1–1 draw in an entertaining contest.

SR. PRO’s forward Annieta Tarpeh opened the scoring in the 45th minute, giving her side a narrow lead heading into the break.
The second half saw end-to-end action, with both goalkeepers Oliva Wolo of SR. PRO and World Girls’ shot-stopper, Amina Ahamadu putting on superb displays between the posts. Their reflex saves and confident positioning kept the crowd on edge.
However, in the dying minutes, World Girls’ left-back Serena Zarwolo came to the rescue, slotting home a late equalizer in the 90th minute to ensure her side earned a valuable point in their opening fixture.

The second encounter of the day ended goalless as Determine Girls and Shaita Angels played out a fiercely contested 0–0 draw. Despite the Angels creating several clear chances and matching the five-time defending champions stride for stride, neither team could find the finishing touch.
