The Liberia women’s national football team has left for Mauritania to compete in the 2025 WAFU-A Cup, which runs from May 18 to 31.
The team departed early Thursday from Roberts International Airport, heading to the capital, Nouakchott.

Liberia is in Group A with host Mauritania, Guinea-Bissau, and Mali. This marks Liberia’s second appearance in the regional tournament.
Their opening match is set for Monday, May 19, against Guinea-Bissau at the Ckeikha Ould Boidiya Stadium.

Kebede named a 21-player squad on May 11, the same day the team began camp.
