
As part of its commitment to developing basketball across the continent, FIBA Africa will host the 2025 Regional Youth Camp – Men’s Edition in Cairo, Egypt, from October 12 to 15 at the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall.
The camp will feature some of Africa’s most promising young basketball players, handpicked for their skill and potential to become future stars.
Among the standout talents selected is Liberian rising star Evans David, who impressed with his exceptional skill set and leadership qualities during the recent Afrobasket Tournament in Kigali, Rwanda. His inclusion underscores Liberia’s growing footprint in African basketball.

The FIBA Africa Regional Youth Camp is an elite training program designed to sharpen the abilities of young players through advanced coaching sessions, high-intensity skill development drills, and mentorship from FIBA and NBA coaches. Participants will also benefit from cultural exchanges and team-building activities, with all players housed at the same location to strengthen camaraderie.
This prestigious opportunity represents a major milestone in Evans David’s basketball journey and a proud moment for the Liberia Basketball Association, reflecting the nation’s continued progress in the sport.
