MONROVIA – Liberia welcomed a new chapter in its aviation industry as Easy Continental Travel Agency officially launched operations for RwandAir in the country. The event, held at Monrovia City Hall, drew the attention of government officials, local business leaders, travel stakeholders, and returning Liberian students from Rwanda.

The partnership with RwandAir, Rwanda’s national airline known for its modern fleet and exceptional service, aims to enhance Liberia’s global connectivity. RwandAir’s extensive codeshare agreements with major airlines such as Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines will provide Liberian travellers direct connections to over 160 destinations worldwide, spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America.

Easy Continental Travel Agency has been appointed as the General Sales Agent (GSA) for RwandAir in Liberia. This collaboration is seen as a vital step in expanding international travel options and showcasing Liberia’s rich cultural heritage. By offering personalized customer service, exclusive travel promotions, and direct access to RwandAir ticketing, the agency hopes to make international travel more accessible to Liberians.

Gbomai L. Bestman, CEO of Easy Continental Travel Agency, expressed her excitement about the partnership during the launch ceremony. She shared her journey of securing the agreement with RwandAir, highlighting extensive communications and a formal presentation to the airline’s Board. Bestman emphasized the importance of tapping into the tourism sector, which reportedly generated over $643 million last year, and the potential benefits for Liberians, especially for the thousands of students currently studying in Rwanda.

Kadiatu D. Konteh-Brohiri, representing the Liberian government, praised the partnership, noting that the influx of airlines would significantly boost the tourism sector and the economy.
