Mighty Barrolle edged out the NPA Pythons 63-59 on Thursday, June 12, at the SKD Gym, snapping a losing streak and returning to winning ways after a shaky start to the 2025 League Season.
The defending champions have struggled to find their rhythm, and early lossesโincluding a shock defeat to newly promoted Spartacus that have cast doubts over their title defense.
Thursdayโs victory, however, brought a much-needed morale boost. It marked just their second win in five outings, but it keeps their playoff hopes alive, albeit with a challenging road ahead.
The league action continues today, Friday, with a full slate of matches in both the male first and second divisions.
The dayโs opening fixture features the Monrovia Admirals taking on the Invincible Shooters at 5:00 PM. Later at 7:00 PM, division one newcomers Spartacus will look to extend their unbeaten run when they face off against Barnersville Dragon. Spartacus are coming off a confident win over the Bushrod Bulls. Barnersville Dragon, meanwhile, enter the match with momentum of their own, having defeated Commissioners in their previous outing.
