BUCHANAN, Grand Bassa County — The Movement for Progressive Change (MPC) has received a major political boost following a grassroots endorsement from residents of Grand Bassa County’s District #4, including members of the influential group “Friends of Team Ben Bannie.”
The endorsement petition, signed by dozens of citizens, reaffirmed their confidence in the vision and leadership of MPC’s political leader, Hon. Simeon C.M. Freeman, describing him as a “practical leader with a people-centered agenda.”
The petitioners said their decision was based on the party’s commitment to economic revitalization, job creation, education, healthcare, and national security. They praised Freeman’s development-driven policies, saying they align with their hopes for “a better, more equitable Liberia.”
“MPC’s policies reflect the aspirations of ordinary Liberians,” the group noted in their statement. “We believe the party can deliver real progress in economic growth, infrastructure, and social development.”
The endorsement from Grand Bassa’s “Friends of Bannie” — a community network known for its civic and youth engagement — is being viewed as a strategic gain for the MPC as it continues to build momentum ahead of Liberia’s next electoral cycle.
In a statement of appreciation, Hon. Freeman thanked the residents of District #4 for their confidence, promising to remain steadfast in advancing the MPC’s agenda for national transformation.
“We are deeply humbled by this show of trust,” Freeman said. “Our commitment remains firm — to build a prosperous, fair, and inclusive Liberia where every citizen has access to opportunity and dignity.”
The Grand Bassa endorsement marks another step in the MPC’s ongoing effort to strengthen its grassroots base across Liberia. Party insiders say similar engagements are being planned in other counties as part of a broader outreach strategy.
