The Minister of Youth and Sports, Cllr. Jerror Cole Bangalu, has congratulated Nimba County for emerging champions in football, Lofa County for winning the basketball title, and Margibi County for clinching the kickball championship at the just-ended National County Sports Meet.

According to Minister Bangalu, the achievements of the three counties reflect not only exceptional talent and discipline, but also the enduring spirit of unity, resilience, and healthy competition that the National County Sports Meet embodies.

He described the tournament as a true celebration of Liberian pride, noting that counties across the nation displayed outstanding teamwork, excellence, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

The Minister extended heartfelt appreciation to all sponsors and partners whose support made the successful hosting of the national event possible. He also commended the security forces for maintaining a safe and orderly environment during the tournament, as well as the media for broadcasting and televising matches nationwide.

Minister Bangalu further praised all participating counties, referees, match commissioners, statisticians, and technical officials for upholding professionalism, fairness, and integrity across all games. He also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of sports administrators and volunteers whose behind-the-scenes efforts ensured the smooth execution of the competition.

Concluding his remarks, the Minister expressed gratitude to the passionate supporters and fans across the country, whose energy and encouragement added excitement to every match. He emphasized that the National County Sports Meet continues to demonstrate that sports remain a powerful force for national unity, youth empowerment, and lasting peace in Liberia.
