
MONROVIA – The National Heritage and Cultural Challenge (NHCC) has successfully concluded its inaugural season, with Team Sinoe, Team Capemount, and Team Montserrado emerging as the top finalists.
The announcement was made by James Garwolo, Head of Media and Strategic Communications for the NHCC.
Garwolo extended “many thanks and appreciation to the defending Champion Team LOFA” and expressed gratitude to “everyone who voted for their respective counties and followed us throughout the five long competitive weeks of Season 1.”
The NHCC reality show is a groundbreaking televised competition that merges the thrill of competition with the depth of Liberia’s cultural heritage.
It features young men and women, aged 20 and above, representing various cultural traditions from across Liberia.

These contestants compete as teams, each representing their county, with the goal of becoming NHCC winners and serving as Culture and Heritage Icons.
Throughout the season, contestants engaged in a series of competitive games challenges storytelling dances and presentations all designed to showcase and promote cultural pride and unity.
These activities also aimed to enhance the audience’s appreciation for their cultural knowledge, skills, and diverse cultural origins.
Looking ahead, the NHCC has unveiled the theme for Season 2: “PRESERVING AND CELEBRATING OUR NATIONAL HERITAGE.”
For the upcoming season, teams from each of Liberia’s 15 counties will gather at a dedicated village for five weeks.
They will participate in a range of highly time-bound competitive activities, including traditional fighting, historical, singing, dancing, demonstrations of specific local cultural talents, and the cooking of local Liberian cuisine
